Dreaming Gemstones, Finding Gemstones

“It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me.” Dan 4:2

Last night I went to a meeting where the speaker had a strange manifestation – gemstones. Since 2006 Glenn Smith says gemstones have been manifesting in his house, Bible, city council meetings, churches – pretty much where ever he goes. It was no different last night.

Now I didn’t think this was strange as I have seen it in the “Finger of God” movie (watch it if you haven’t seen it) and I know others who have found them. My boyfriend is one of them. He found two gems (one’s actually a diamond) at two different churches in two different states. Plus all he has been dreaming about for the last six months are him picking up gemstones. It’s a reoccurring dream we talk about quite often. (I think I'll blog about this at a later date.)

Anyways, I got to the meeting at “Because He Lives Ministries” in Elkhart, Ind. 10 minutes before it was supposed to start. When I walked in about 20 people were there looking on the floor. In one corner, one person was like, “Oooh I found one.” In another corner somebody else was doing the same thing.

I didn’t want to make this about gemstones, but honestly, it was what drew me to the meeting. I’d be lying if I said, “I didn’t want one and I only wanted to worship Jesus.” I did want to worship, but I wanted to see what his hand was doing. I wanted to see if this was real. I said, “God if you want me to have one, let me see it right where I’m sitting.”

I picked a seat in the back by no one and five minutes later after looking all around the floor from my chair – I noticed one about two feet from my chair. Another lady noticed at the same time I said, “Look there’s one.” She picked it up and asked if I had any yet. (She had a bag already from the night before of more than a dozen different colors, shapes and sizes of gemstones.) She gave me the one she just picked up. It was a light purple oval shaped gemstone. I couldn’t stop looking at it and seriously thinking, ”Wow, God. Who am I that you would give me a purple gemstone.” (By the way – purple symbolizes royalty and it’s the color of my birthstone.)

Two minutes later a girl found a larger diamond-looking gem right next to my feet. Now you know I had looked all around my feet. I had been looking around my feet and under my chair for five minutes before she came around. I would have seen that huge gem. It was double the size of my purple one.

People had bags of gems and they kept finding them all night. At one point I saw one bounce out of thin air onto the floor in front of a five-year-old girl whom I had just asked 20 seconds before if she had found any. AMAZING!

I don’t have any answers. I don’t know how they formed. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. But it wasn’t fake. This was real. The name of Jesus was lifted up during worship. The word was scriptural and people got set free later. Now that is a fun church service!
Now I'm going to pose a bunch of questions, because honestly I have them and so do others. My philosophy is to go straight to the Word and try to prove whatever you're trying to prove. Never trying to disprove right off the bat.

“What does that have to do with Jesus?”

I say, “He is a King – duh! Do you know any kings who don’t have riches?” Plus, I’m his kid. (Remember I asked Him, if he wanted me to have one to let me see it from where I was sitting.)

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” Matt 7:11
He gave me a good gift because He loves me.

“This kind of stuff is dangerous to the body.”

To that I say, “Then why would God give it to us? It's only dangerous if we make it dangerous. That’s like saying, ‘Don’t heal me God, because somebody might take it the wrong way. They might seek healing too. They might focus on healing more than you.’ Listen folks – don’t focus on the gemstones. Focus on the one who gives it to us and thank Him for it. We can idolize anything and many of us do. Be careful not to criticize and judge His hand.”

“Well, I only seek the giver and not the gifts.”
That's fine, but have you ever sought God to do something for you? Help you to purchase a new house, give you favor on your doctor bills? Those are gifts, right?

At one time I said that very same phrase "Seek the giver and not the gifts." Then I found out it was not Biblical. A more correct term would be, "Seek the Giver first and then the gifts." The Bible says,

“But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way.” 1 Cor 12:31

“Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts…“1 Cor 14:1

“So also you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound for the edification of the church.” 1Cor 14:12

The Bible says to earnestly desire and zealously seek the gifts. In 1 Cor. 12 there are a variety of gifts by the same spirit. Read it. There are nine gifts in this chapter. One of those is miracles. Now should we seek and focus on miracles more than Him? NO! However, we are to earnestly seek miracles.

Pursue love. God is love. (1 Cor. 13 tells us what love is.) Pursue God, yet desire EARNESTLY the gifts.

The gifts will edify the church – the body. Miracles will edify, build our faith, etc.

The Bible also says:

“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” Job 5:9

The Bible doesn’t list all the miracles that have been performed, but I’d consider gemstones manifesting a miracle. Actually it reminds me of the story of when God fed the Israelites manna. That litterally manifested on the ground every morning. We believe that - right? Then why is it so hard to believe that He would litterally manifest gemstones on the ground?

“Well - this promotes greed.”

"Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders," Jesus told him, "you will never believe." John 4:48

God does this so you will believe. Everything He does draws us closer to Him. In fact some people went out to eat after the meeting and showed gemstones to the waitresses. One of them got saved. Now that is the point – bringing more people into the kingdom. One soul is worth more than a bunch of gem stones, because the gem really is the person. Isn't that funny, God using gems to draw gems closer to him.
In Closing
We have got to let God be God. His ways are not our ways. He is sovereign and he does as he pleases. We pray – "God show up. Blow our box." Then when he does, we want to judge, get fearful – worry about the body. Yeah right – our minds are just offended. Trust me I'm preachng to myself right now.

I’ve stopped trying to figure it out. I’m not going to try and make people believe me. I’m not even going to get offended when I literally feel their disbelief. Honestly it doesn’t really matter what anyone believes. I had an encounter with the lover of my soul, the maker of the universe. In His mercy and grace, He gave me a gift even when my mind was offended by others finding gifts. He’s drawn me closer to Him, because this gem made me think about Him. I got in the Word to type this blog.
I'd say– if you still have questions - take it up with God. I'm just the messanger relating an experience that I had. It built my faith. It blew my box. It made draw closer to Him. It was good.
So next time He wants to pour out gemstones - my heart desires a pink sparkly one. In the meantime, I'll delight myself in Him.
